Ramadan Rashan Program – STEP Foundation Pakistan

The STEP Foundation Pakistan believes that the holy month of Ramadan is a time of compassion, sharing, and community support. During this blessed month, millions of families across Pakistan struggle to put food on their tables, especially those living below the poverty line. To bring relief and blessings into their homes, the STEP Foundation launched the Ramadan Rashan Program, a humanitarian initiative dedicated to supporting deserving and low-income families with essential food supplies.

Every year, during the holy month, the Foundation distributes Ramadan Rashan Packages containing essential food items such as flour, rice, lentils, sugar, cooking oil, tea, spices, and dates. These carefully prepared packages are designed to help a family meet its basic food needs throughout the month of fasting, ensuring that no one sleeps hungry during this sacred time.

The distribution process is carried out with transparency, dignity, and respect. STEP Foundation teams and volunteers identify the most deserving households through community surveys, local recommendations, and direct field visits. Special attention is given to widows, orphans, persons with disabilities, and daily wage earners who are often the most affected by economic hardships.

In addition to food distribution, the Foundation also organizes Ramadan Iftar drives in various communities, providing cooked meals to fasting individuals, laborers, and travelers.
